Consumer wearables measure many metrics, but it is unclear which ones should be prioritised for health decisions. This thesis focuses on six markers in non-shift working adults: sleep duration and regularity, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, daily steps, and VO₂max. A rapid scoping review and an online survey of working adults inform a tiering framework. Sleep duration, daily steps and resting heart rate emerge as Tier 1 markers, while sleep regularity, heart rate variability and VO₂max are placed in Tier 2. The thesis translates these findings into concise, device-agnostic operational guidance.
