The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Portugal acknowledges the need to diversify its revenue sources in order to sustain its mission of serving refugees and migrants in vulnerable contexts. Therefore, this study proposes a strategic funding model for long-term financial stability, sustainability and organisational resilience. The model combines governance adjustments with complementary funding strategies across public, corporate, and individual donor segments, as well as within the social enterprise landscape. It intends to reduce public funding dependence, diversify donor segments and align with the organisation's core mission.
