| dc.description.abstract | Esta é uma investigação focada em estudo sobre mulheres e a criminologia. Trata-se de averiguar a relação entre sistemas prisionais femininos e imigração em Portugal, em especial a imigração feminina. Faz luz também sobre a questão da discriminação étnico-racial em relação aos estrangeiros, trazendo à discussão assuntos como racismo e discriminação, tópicos que circundam o assunto principal. Este trabalho preocupou-se também em dar voz às vivências invisibilizadas dessas mulheres e explorar os estudos realizados, mencionando-os no decorrer da dissertação. A análise baseia-se em um estudo de revisão bibliográfica e num estudo de caso: as mulheres estrangeiras reclusas no Sistema Prisional de Tires. Neste estudo de caso, interessou-nos analisar: os objetivos destas mulheres para o futuro, o motivo que as trouxe a Portugal, tendo em conta variáveis descritivas como idade, nacionalidade, crime cometido, pena atribuída, grau de instrução e experiências profissionais. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This is an investigation focused on women's studies and criminology, which aims to examine the relationship between female prison systems and immigration in Portugal, especially female immigration. This study also sheds light on the issue of ethno-racial discrimination against foreigners, bringing to the discussion matters such as racism and discrimination, and topics surrounding the main subject of this investigation. This work is also concerned with giving voice to the invisible experiences of these women and exploring the studies conducted, referring to them through the dissertation. The analysis is based on a literature review study and the following case study: Foreign Women Prisoners in the ‘Tires’ Prison System. In this case study, it was also analyzed: the goals of these women for the future, the reason that brought them to Portugal, while taking into account descriptive variations such as age, nationality, crime committed, judicial punishment awarded, education level, and professional studies. | pt_PT |
