This thesis investigates the entrepreneurial capabilities required for early-stage ventures to develop and commercialize intranasal nose to brain drug delivery solutions in Europe. Based on expert interviews, it identifies foundational, relational, and contextual capabilities that
underpin venture success in this emerging area. Drawing on entrepreneurial capital theory, the study also assesses the strategic fit of one company in relation to this opportunity. The findings offer theoretical and practical insights into what is required for early-stage ventures to advance innovation in complex environments. The study contributes to both entrepreneurship and pharmaceutical innovation literature.
