This report intends to explore the theme “Training and Management Procedures”, theme chosen among several others in the course of Human Resource Management. For persons who recently join a company in a foreign country and as most of the persons who start working and receive training, the choice of the theme for my work project is very pertinent. The concepts explored in this work project concern the methods, and their validity, that companies use in their internships to train the trainees. Two theoretical training methods or programs were explored, one of them found in the literature research and the other developed through the interviews performed to a sample of people that work in the banking sector in London. Through the interviews performed, the main goal of this work project was achieved, that is to confront these two methods and try to illustrate their advantages and disadvantages. From the confrontation resulted the conclusion that the intensive training program provides better preparation to trainees perform their tasks after it ends.
