Resumo(s)

As blockchain based systems emerge within the microfinance sector, the understanding of the factors that drive user adoption is becoming increasingly important. This study applies the Task Technology Fit model to investigate the factors that influence usage intentions. Using PLS-SEM, this study finds that Technology Characteristics of blockchain and Task Characteristics of microfinance significantly contribute to Task Technology Fit which then strongly predicts Usage Intention. However, the moderating effects by Structural Assurance and Personal Innovativeness in the Domain of Information Technology were not significant. This suggests that that contextual and personal factors do not meaningfully affect usage intention. Furthermore, this study offers significant practical insights for the implementation of blockchain technology in the microfinance sector.
