| dc.description.abstract | This work project explores how turbine Circular Economy (CE) strategies influence stakeholder perception of onshore wind projects, namely their relationship to NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) movement. This is especially relevant given Europe’s detrimental social resistance at the community level to onshore wind energy rollout. The research adopts a qualitative methodology, drawing on a survey of 207 individuals informed by expert interviews. The findings of the paper highlight that while sustainability credentials alone do not mitigate local opposition, locally beneficial solutions that are co-design alongside local communities are a promising solution to improve public sentiment. | eng |
