Este relatório descreve a prática de ensino de História e de Geografia na Escola
Secundária Quinta do Marquês e Escola Secundária Passos Manuel, durante o ano
letivo 2015/2016, no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, do 2º ano do curso
de mestrado em ensino de História e Geografia no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e
Secundário. Este teve como principal objetivo a utilização de textos de imprensa na
sala de aula, aplicadas como recurso complementar em trabalhos individuais e/ou de
grupo. Mais do que apresentar as suas potencialidades, mostramos neste trabalho
algumas possibilidades de trabalho, como forma de dinamizar o ensino da História e
Geografia através de um recurso cujo espaço didático tem vindo a ser reconhecido.
A partir de um enquadramento teórico, pretendemos averiguar algumas das
aplicações deste recurso no ensino, as suas potencialidades e desafios. Em seguida,
através de uma análise documental, apurar as estratégias propostas nos programas e
documentos curriculares relacionadas com a utilização da imprensa, bem como o uso
que lhe é dado nos diferentes manuais escolares adotados.
Por fim, descreve-se sumariamente as instituições de acolhimento e as turmas
apresentando-se, de seguida, uma análise reflexiva das estratégias e das escolhas
adotadas, enquadradas no nosso tema, “Uso da imprensa no ensino de História e de
Geografia”.
This report’s objective is to, analyze and describe the practice of teaching History and Geography as Supervised Teaching Practice at Quinta do Marquês and Passos Manuel secondary schools, through the 2015/2016 academic year. The main goal was the usage of press text in classroom, applied as a complementary resource in group or individual assignments. More than displaying it’s potentialities, it is shown on this report some possibilities on how to utilize this resource on school work assignments as of a way to dynamise the teaching of History and Geography, through a resource that is getting renowned in classrooms. Through a theoretical framework, it is pretended an investigation on some of this resource, in classroom, applications, potentialities and challenges. Also through a documental analysis, seek for strategies proposed by teaching programs and curricular documents related with the usage of press in classrooms as a teaching resource and how it is utilized in the adopted school books. Lastly, the institutions and classes are summarily described, displaying next a reflective analysis on the strategies and choices adopted, framed on our theme, “The usage of press on the teaching of History and Geography.
