| dc.description.abstract | This work investigates the implementation of Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC), addressing effective strategies through a literature review and interviews with experts in the field. Across an extensive analysis of global success cases, common challenges and best practices were identified. The resulting six-phase implementation plan prioritizes organizational engagement for a seamless VBHC transition. Post-implementation, emphasis is placed on scalable programs and transitioning to value-based payment models. This study not only contributes to a deeper comprehension of VBHC but also stands as a tool for healthcare leaders searching the dynamic landscape, facilitating the implementation of patient-centered and economically viable healthcare systems. | pt_PT |
