O presente Trabalho de Projeto centra-se numa proposta de tradução de parte do livro New Beginnings with MemoQ, de autoria de Kevin Lossner em colaboração com Cátea Caleço Murta. Analisam-se as condicionantes e dificuldades da tradução de uma obra deste tipo e exploram-se aspetos teóricos relacionados com a tradução técnica, com base em Schubert, Byrne, Cavaco-Cruz e Vermeer, bem como a importância das ferramentas CAT e o papel do tradutor técnico.
This Project focuses on a proposal for the translation of part of the book New Beginnings with MemoQ, by Kevin Lossner in collaboration with Cátea Caleço Murta. The constraints and difficulties of the translation of this type of work are analysed and the theoretical aspects related to technical translation are explored, based on Schubert, Byrne, Cavaco-Cruz and Vermeer, as well as the importance of CAT tools and the role of the technical translator.
