Resumo(s)
Vietnam is emerging as a renewable energy powerhouse in Southeast Asia, yet attracting sustainable foreign direct investment (FDI) remains complex. This thesis examines Vietnam’s wind, solar, and hydropower sectors to identify the most promising investment opportunities
and policy frameworks. Through literature review, expert interviews, and a consumer survey conducted in Vietnam, the study reveals high potential tempered by regulatory risk and grid limitations. Key recommendations address policy clarity, investment incentives, and infrastructure development. The findings provide actionable insights for Vietnam’s government and foreign investors on how to attract long-term FDI and prioritize investment in the most promising renewable energy subsector.
