| dc.description.abstract | Quando se trata da relação entre Inteligência Artificial e o mundo da arte, muitas polêmicas vêm à tona. As discussões em torno desse tema reivindicam a regulamentação do uso de Inteligência Artificial nas produções artísticas, e põem em voga questões como autoria e compensação monetária em projetos híbridos. Ainda assim, muitos artistas têm usado da Inteligência Artificial como parceira em suas criações. A presente pesquisa procura investigar o papel da Inteligência Artificial usada dentro do processo criativo, no recorte das artes performativas e em sua simbiose com as novas tecnologias. O objetivo é perguntar se ela deve ser entendida como ferramenta ou agente dentro de um processo criativo, ou se deve tomar algum outro formato. Para isso, serão abordados os conceitos de criatividade e Inteligência Artificial, para entender como eles servem um ao outro dentro de processos artísticos híbridos. Também será introduzida a teoria da ciberformance, prática que serviu de base para os objetos de estudo analisados na presente pesquisa: O Quintal da Criaturas Estranhas e Ophilia. Com essa metodologia, pretende-se entender quais são os novos horizontes para a prática das artes performativas futuras, tendo em vista o crescente desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias e de práticas híbridas oriundas de sua fusão com as artes. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | When it comes to the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and the world of art, many controversies arise. Discussions around this topic call for the regulation of the use of Artificial Intelligence in artistic productions, raising questions about authorship and financial compensation in hybrid projects. Nevertheless, many artists have been using Artificial Intelligence as a partner in their creations. The present research aims to investigate the role of Artificial Intelligence used within the creative process, focusing on the Performing Arts and its symbiosis with New Technologies. The objective is to inquire whether it should be understood as a tool or agent within a creative process, or if it should take on some other form. To achieve this, the concepts of creativity and Artificial Intelligence will be addressed to understand how they complement each other within hybrid artistic processes. Additionally, the theory of cyberformance will be introduced, a practice that served as the basis for the study objects analyzed in this research: The Backyard of Weird Creatures and Ophilia. With this methodology, this research aims to understand the new horizons for future performing arts practices, considering the increasing development of new technologies and hybrid practices resulting from its fusion with art. | pt_PT |
