This thesis analyzes the impact of access to Uniswap V3 liquidity pools on Decentralized Applications usage. Using an event study methodology combined with a Fixed Effects model, the study investigates how the user base of DeFi DApps is affected when DApps
offer their token on Uniswap’s V3. Results indicate that while access to a V3 pool initially boosts user base, emerging DApps with low pre-V3 token trading volumes, experience a negative effect, likely due to increased token volatility and user disengagement. These findings provide empirical insights into the challenges and dynamics of liquidity pool access within the DeFi ecosystem.
