Análise de um manual de língua portuguesa utilizado no Ensino Superior da China na perspectiva cultural

| dc.description.abstract | A língua portuguesa é uma das línguas românicas mais antigas, que deriva de uma variante do latim arcaico, originada no galego-português falado no Reino da Galiza e no norte de Portugal. Atualmente, o português é a sétima língua mais falada no mundo em termos do número de países e regiões, com mais de 200 milhões de falantes nativos. A aprendizagem de línguas não está separada do conhecimento da cultura. Os materiais didáticos são um instrumento importante para os aprendentes de português adquirirem conhecimentos e competências da língua. Por sua vez, também contêm diferentes componentes culturais nos manuais escolares e, para um professor de línguas, estes precisam de ser cuidadosamente explorados e estudados em profundidade para que possam ser mais bem utilizados de modo a desenvolver as capacidades de comunicação intercultural dos estudantes. Este trabalho baseia-se no manual Português Global - 3 (2017), um dos manuais escolares mais utilizados no ensino de português em Macau e na China Continental, publicado pela Universidade Politécnica de Macau. O propósito deste trabalho é realizar uma análise do conteúdo deste livro didático sob uma perspectiva cultural. As questões específicas do estudo são: 1. Existem normas uniformes para o curso de línguas estrangeiras no ensino superior chinês? 2. Qual é a situação atual do curso de língua portuguesa no ensino superior chinês? 3. Que tipo de cultura contém cada unidade do livro? 4. Como é apresentado o conteúdo da cultura neste livro didático? 5. Existe alguma distribuição simétrica entre as partes de entrada e saída deste livro didático? Este trabalho utiliza a análise documental e textual para classificar o material cultural utilizado no manual em diferentes tipos culturais. O material textual é segmentado em folha de Excel ou quadro para análise. Do ponto de vista didático, agrupa os resultados da análise em duas secções, input e output. Com base na experiência de investigação e nos fundamentos teóricos das gerações anteriores, os tipos de cultura supramencionados incluem «cultura material, cultura espiritual, cultura social, cultura comportamental e cultura ideológica» (Niu, 2002, p.80). De seguida, são feitas recomendações em resposta aos resultados e reflexões sobre as deficiências do processo de investigação. Por fim, expressa-se a expectativa de um futuro no desenvolvimento de materiais didáticos da língua portuguesa na China. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The Portuguese language is one of the oldest Romance languages, deriving from a variant of archaic Latin that originated from the Galician-Portuguese spoken in the Kingdom of Galicia and northern Portugal. Currently, Portuguese is the seventh most widely spoken language in the world in terms of the number of countries and regions, with over 200 million native speakers. In many countries, language learning is inseparable from the culture associated with the language. Textbooks play a crucial role in helping learners of Portuguese acquire language knowledge and skills. These textbooks contain various cultural components that should be carefully explored and studied by language educators to effectively develop students' intercultural communication skills. This paper focuses on the analysis of the textbook Português Global – 3 (2017), one of the most used textbooks for teaching Portuguese in Macao and Mainland China, published by the Polytechnic University of Macao. The objective of this paper is to examine the cultural content of this textbook from a cultural perspective. The specific research questions addressed in this study are as follows: 1. Are there uniform standards for the foreign language course in Chinese higher education? 2. What is the current situation of the Portuguese language course in Chinese higher education? 3. What types of culture are presented in each unit of the textbook? 4. How is the cultural content presented in the textbook? 5. Is there a balanced distribution between the input and output sections of the textbook? To classify the cultural material used in teaching, this paper employs document and textual analysis, focusing on two sections: input and output. Drawing on previous research and theoretical foundations, the identified culture types include «material culture, spiritual culture, social culture, behavioral culture, and ideological culture» (Niu, 2002, p.80). Through this classification, the textual material is segmented into Excel sheet or chart for analysis. Subsequently, recommendations are provided based on the findings and reflections on the research process's shortcomings. Finally, the paper expresses expectations for the future development of Portuguese language teaching materials in China. | pt_PT |
