| dc.description.abstract | In this Work Project I will try to understand how eco-friendly policies and strategies conducted by the Cascais Municipality Council have affected the development of the municipality in regard to tourism, its growth and the way it is seen after these policies and strategies are applied, in a sense of whether or not it becomes more attractive to tourists. I’ll do so by analyzing Cascais as a destination, looking at several points of attractiveness, defining its stage in the life cycle model and how important it was in preventing a possible downfall of Cascais as a tourism destination. I will also analyze Cascais’ most recent eco-friendly policies and strategies and conduct a questionnaire directed at tourists, to try and understand some of their motivations and feelings regards sustainable tourism and eco-friendly policies. | pt_PT |
