Over the past decade, the relationship of music with city spaces in Rio de Janeiro has raised new territorialities anchored in a playful, festive sociability. The individual/public space interaction has produced new directions and pointed out the need to create policies around these urban areas, at times, for the control and domestication of citizen action. Based on the participant observation experience with the "Orquestra Voadora" group, ethnographically monitored during the Rio carnival in Flamengo (RJ), the objective was to investigate how and in what ways groups and individuals occupy and resignify city spaces and give rise to new communication circuits, broadcasting music and meeting with revelers from different parts of the city.
