O objetivo principal desta dissertação prende-se com a análise do percurso clinico de um paciente com Dor crónica em Portugal. Pretendeu-se elaborar uma segmentação dos dados de maneira a relacionar os procedimentos de referenciação para doentes com Dor crónica e a sua satisfação com o tratamento.
Foi elaborado e aplicado um questionário a um grupo de doentes com Dor crónica, o qual serviu de base para a extração de conhecimento sobre o procedimento de referenciação clínico destes doentes. Neste estudo foi possível perceber que são os Centros de Saúde os serviços de saúde a que recorrem pela primeira vez estes doentes e foi possível relacionar com o grau de satisfação do seu tratamento para a Dor crónica. Também foi analisado o nível de significância das variáveis que poderiam estar relacionadas com a satisfação do doente e verificou-se que o facto de fazerem tratamentos com ou sem medicação tinha uma associação forte com o facto de estarem satisfeitos com o apoio prestado pelos profissionais de saúde e de terem a sua Dor controlada.
The main objective of this dissertation is the analysis of the clinical path of a patient with chronic pain in Portugal. A segmentation of the data was implemented in order to relate the referral procedures of patients with chronic pain and their satisfaction with the treatment. A questionnaire was developed and applied to a group of patients with chronic pain, this served as a basis for the extraction of knowledge about the clinical referral procedure of these patients. In this study it was possible to perceive that the Health Centers are the health services most used for the first time by these patients and it was possible to relate the degree of satisfaction with their treatment for Chronic Pain. It was also analyzed the level of significance of the variables that could be related to patient satisfaction and it was found that the fact of having treatments with or without medication had a strong association with the fact that they were satisfied with the support provided by the health professionals and with the control of their Pain.
