trata
o
assunto
da
objetificação
da
mulher
na
mídia
com
enfoque
na
profissão
de
atriz
no
Brasil.
Partindo
dos
discursos
de
8
mulheres
em
dois
períodos
diferentes,
e
com
um
intervalo
de
14
anos
entre
eles,
pode-‐se
avaliar
até
que
ponto
as
atrizes
brasileiras
têm
tido
que
se
sujeitar
a
padrões
estéticos
inalcançáveis,
ao
tirânico
domínio
masculino
na
indústria
do
entretenimento,
e
a
reproduzir
artísticamente
estereótipos
sexistas
amparados
por
construções
sociais
de
gênero
ultrapassadas,
majoritariamente
concebidos
e
produzidos
por
homens
brancos
de
meia
idade.
Conceived as a supporting written piece for the ethographic film “Women representing women”, this paper discusses the issue of female objetification in the media from the perspective of professional actresses in Brazil. The discourses of 8 women in different time periods, set apart by a 14 year gap, reveal some of the ways brazilian actresses have been subdued by unreasonable beauty standards as well as the tiranic male domination of the entertainment industry, and forced to reproduce artistically throghout history the same outdated estereotypes based on social construction of gender, mainly created and commercially produced by white-‐ middle-‐aged-‐males.
