This article intends to identify and describe the processes of thematic organization in light of the epistemological theory of Teun van Dijk, making more explicit the linguistic properties of thematic structures. In the first chapter, there will be a literature review on the macrostructures and macrorules. In the second part, it will be presented a thematic analysis of an oenological article. With this, we intend to investigate possible relationships between thematic organization, knowledge construction, context and genre textual production.
