A configuração linguística do agir institucional em sítios web

Abstract

Inscrito na área da Linguística do Texto e do Discurso, o presente estudo tem como objetivo central analisar de que modo(s) se textualiza o agir institucional através da internet, concretamente dos sítios web, constituindo o Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo o enquadramento teórico-epistemológico que suporta o projeto. Reconhecendo-se que os textos são objetos complexos e plurissemióticos associados a atividades (quer gerais quer de linguagem) e à conduta de agentes (quer individualizados quer coletivos), considera-se que a produção textual catalisa as representações que estes têm da sua capacidade de intervenção, da sua identidade e do contexto sócio-histórico em que se encontram. Consequentemente, pretende-se compreender o funcionamento e as especificidades do agir verbal de instituições selecionadas dos domínios da educação, da cultura, do direito e das finanças através de um corpus textual diversificado a que se acedeu via sítios web. De forma a compreender as diferentes representações que este agir pode ter, introduzimos algumas noções operatórias, por nós elaboradas, os chamados modos de agir. No cerne destas questões, a internet é encarada como uma rede que possibilita um novo cenário de comunicação para as instituições públicas e o sítio web é perspetivado como um género textual, sendo que a nossa proposta o aponta como paragénero.

This thesis, in the field of Linguistics, has as its main goal to analyze the way institutional actions are textualized in the internet, namely in websites. Socio-Discursive Interactionism is the main theoretical framework that sustains our project. Bearing in mind that texts are complex and plurisemiotic objects linked both to general and linguistic activities as well as to the behaviour of individual and collective agents, we consider that textual production brings about the representations that these agents have of their own capacity to act, their identity and of the social-historical context that surrounds them. Therefore, it’s our aim to understand how verbal acting works and which are its features concerning the selected institutions of our study that belong to the domains of Education, Culture, Law and Finance. This can be achieved through texts and textual genres found in their websites. In order to understand the various representations that this verbal acting may have, we decided to conceive and introduce some operative notions which we have called “ways of acting” At the heart of these issues, the internet is regarded as paving the way to a new communication setting for public institutions and websites are seen as a textual genres, in particular our proposition presents them as ‘paragenres’.
