Resumo(s)
The roles of Product Manager and Product Owner have emerged as critical in today’s rapidly evolving
software development landscape, by bridging the gap between customer needs and business
objectives while managing the entire product life cycle. Meanwhile, the traditional Project Manager
role is undergoing a transformation as Agile methodologies, especially scrum, redefine the structure
and focus of software development. In Agile, many traditional duties of Project Managers are
distributed among roles like Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams, requiring
Project Managers to now adapt to new, collaborative, and facilitative roles. This study aims to examine
the evolving dynamics between traditional Project Management and modern Product Management
within Agile environments and Scrum, focusing on how these roles coexist, complement one another,
and contribute to organizational success. By analyzing the interplay between strategic and operational
functions, this research seeks to provide a clearer understanding of how these roles align with
organizational objectives and support Agile practices. The work leverages a systematic literature
review, employing the PRISMA methodology, to synthesize existing research and address gaps in
knowledge.
