O autor estabelece três períodos na evolução da formação de enfermeiros e outros auxiliares.
1º - Ele faz uma retrospectiva até 1923, baseando a sua exposição em elementos extraídos dos regulamentos e da legislação em vigor na época.
2º - Refere-se à legislação publicada entre 1923 e 1945, enumerando as medidas de ensino postas em prática para a formação do pessoal de enfermagem, particularmente as publicações das portarias n.º 2.215, de 13 de fevereiro, n.º 2.417, de outubro de 1937 e do diploma legislativo n.º 1.223 de janeiro de 1941.
3º. - Analisa a legislação em vigor proveniente do decreto n.º 34.417 de fevereiro de 1945.
Por fim, faz breves considerações sobre o que acredita ser conveniente estabelecer para o futuro.
The author divides the evolution of the training for nurses and other auxiliaries into three periods: ln the first period it comes the history of nursing up to 1923 based on the elements taken from regulations and laws of that time. ln the second period it is referred the public legislation between 1923 and 1945, and the measures of instruction put in practice for the training of nurses. ln the third period it is reviewd the legislation in force -since 1945. The some brief considerations on what is believed to be convenient to be established in future are presented.
