"Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequent malignancy and the deadliest cancer death in women. It is a
heterogeneous disease characterized by high variability in tumor morphology, molecular characteristics, and
clinical response. Development of targeted therapies has revolutionized cancer treatment; however, these
therapies are associated with increased resistance. Development of novel therapies often fails due to lack of
representation of the tumor microenvironment (TME), revealing the need for recapitulative models.(...)"
