Resumo(s)
In the rapid changes that have occurred in urban areas in recent decades – in a millennia-old historical process of alteration and creation, which has gained new speed and aggressiveness – industrial heritage, the legacy left by the society that lived the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution, has been one of the most affected. The transformation of these places, essential for the renewal and adaptation of the city to the new requirements of today's society, has, however, been carried out without proper valuation of the historical, social, cultural, technological, economic, or environmental aspects that these places contain, marked by a lack of documentation of the site prior to its alteration.
