Vivemos em tempos onde a evolução tecnológica é marcada por um ritmo acelerado, estando a
Inteligência Artificial cada vez mais presente na nossa rotina. A verdade é que, sendo ainda
controversa, ela, em grande parte dos casos, ajuda-nos na tomada de decisão, garantindo, através dos
seus conhecimentos e constante aprendizagem, que escolhemos a solução que mais se adequa às
nossas preferências. O objetivo desta tese passa por analisar a produção de vinho na região do Douro
e usar a IA para conceptualizar e criar um assistente virtual/ChatBot que consiga, autonomamente,
aconselhar e prover explicações a interessados sobre vinhos da região do Douro, em especial que ajude
o processo de decisão de aquisição pelos consumidores, proporcionando-lhe o conhecimento
necessário a uma boa escolha. Pretende-se que o ChatBot possa ser usado por agentes económicos e
consumidores na escolha dos vinhos, incrementado a facilidade da escolha destes. O grande propósito
deste assistente é ajudar os mais inexperientes e menos conhecedores dos vinhos da região do Douro
a escolher um vinho que responda às suas preferências.
Nowadays, we live in a world where technological evolution is marking our lives, mainly with Artificial Intelligence being increasingly present in our routine. Although AI is still controversial, can be said that in most cases, helps us in decision-making, ensuring, through its knowledge and constant learning, that we choose the solution that best suits our preferences. The main goal of this this thesis is to analyze wine production in the Douro region and use AI to conceptualize and create a virtual assistant/ChatBot that can, autonomously, advise and provide explanations to interested parties about wines from the Douro region, in particular that helps the costumers decision process, providing them with the necessary knowledge and information to make a good choice in what concerns to buy wines. The goal is that the ChatBot can be used by economic agents and consumers to choose wines, increasing the facility of choosing them. All in all, can be said that the main purpose of this assistant is to help those who are more inexperienced and less knowledgeable about wines from the Douro region to choose a wine that meets their preferences.
