A produção de energia solar está a emergir como uma solução fundamental para um futuro sustentável e responsável em relação ao meio ambiente. Esta pesquisa explora os benefícios das estratégias de Demand Side Management (DSM) e das mudanças de rotina nos agregados familiares que recorreram a sistemas solares fotovoltaicos. Os governos desempenham um papel vital na promoção da adoção da energia solar através de incentivos e medidas políticas, enquanto a educação capacita os indivíduos a fazerem escolhas energéticas informadas. Com base em entrevistas realizadas a participantes no programa de apoio "Edifícios Mais Sustentáveis" do Fundo Ambiental, foram explorados fatores como a motivação e os desafios durante o processo de transição e foram identificados diversos perfis de consumidores e estratégias de gestão de energia. Todos os participantes reconheceram a necessidade de mudanças de rotina para maximizar os benefícios do sistema fotovoltaico, levando à conclusão de que a transição energética é inevitavelmente acompanhada por alterações fundamentais nas rotinas e hábitos quotidianos. Estas conclusões inspiraram a ideia de criar um sítio web informativo, em colaboração com o Fundo Ambiental e peritos ligados às energias renováveis, que serviria como um recurso abrangente para a adoção da energia solar, promovendo uma comunidade de conhecimentos partilhados e de progresso coletivo.
Solar energy production is emerging as a fundamental solution for a sustainable and environmentally responsible future. This research explores the benefits of Demand Side Management (DSM) strategies and routine changes within households that have adopted photovoltaic (PV) energy systems. Governments play a vital role in promoting solar adoption through incentives and policy measures, while education empowers individuals to make informed energy choices. Based on interviews conducted with participants in the "Edifícios Mais Sustentáveis" support program of the Environmental Fund, factors such as motivation and challenges during the transition process were explored, and diverse consumer profiles and energy management strategies were identified. All participants recognized the need for routine changes to maximize the benefits of the PV solar system, leading to the conclusion that energy transition is inevitably accompanied by fundamental changes in daily routines and habits. These findings have inspired the idea of creating an informative website in collaboration with the Environmental Fund and renewable energy experts that would serve as a comprehensive resource for solar adoption, fostering a community of shared knowledge and collective progress.
