Resumo(s)
In today's fast-paced tech-driven world, individuals and enterprises are turning increasingly to low-code platforms (LCP) to streamline their application development and enhance productivity. Nevertheless, the success of these platforms relies on an individual’s ability to adapt and utilize them effectively. This study explores how reskilling alongside emotional engagement can influence the acceptance and utilization of low-code platforms. The technology acceptance model (TAM) is used as the analytical lens, allowing the assessment of the relationship between perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, intention of use, and both emotional engagement and reskilling initiatives. A survey was conducted that gathered 188 responses and PLS-SEM is used to assess the conceptual model. This study’s findings are that, as expected, emotional engagement and the moderator variable of reskilling is significant in influencing behavior intention. The results are valuable for decision-makers as they offer an important insight into what influences users to adopt LCP.
