Resumo(s)
This thesis explores the effectiveness of various sketch map analysis methods in
representing and evaluating spatial knowledge. It primarily focuses on three types of sketch maps:
landmark-likeness, route-likeness, and survey-likeness, each characterized by distinct features
and spatial relationships. The study systematically compares bidimensional regression (BDR), order relationship of regions along roads, and SketchMapia, assessing their capabilities in
identifying and quantifying errors in sketch maps. By applying these methods to real sketch
maps, the thesis aims to develop a comprehensive evaluation criteria, providing insights and
practical recommendations for selecting appropriate methods based on specific map
characteristics. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of spatial knowledge
acquisition and the practical applications of sketch map analysis in geographic information
systems.
