Resumo(s)

The analysis and usage of optical satellite images with very high spatial resolution, this has led to effective support for estimating and monitoring population, understanding urban changes and many other applications. The spatial data obtained from satellite images has become remarkably widespread and is increasing over the time due to the availability of different methods for processing remote sensing data. In past studies, many researchers used object-based image analysis (OBIA) to closely examine and describe urban features in many different areas in great detail using a very high resolution satellite image. Detecting urban features within urban areas in an automated and adaptable way is challenge due to the variations in spatial and spectral Features. This research focuses on the development of a Object-Based Image Analysis (OBIA) approach and create a flexible workflow and ruleset that can that easily adaptable across different study areas and datasets, enabling efficient and accurate urban feature detection and classification in diverse urban context and apply it to other study areas.
