Webasto is a German company that designs and manufactures heating, air conditioning, and sunroof systems for a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, and boats. The inception of the organization was in 1901 and has its headquarters in Stockdorf, Germany. Webasto’s products are used in a variety of applications, including automotive OEM and aftermarket, commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, and boats. The company's products include air and water heaters, air conditioners, sunroofs, and charging solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles. Webasto is a global company with operations in more than 80 countries. It is one of the world's leading suppliers of heating and air conditioning systems for vehicles. With more than 50 locations, including over 30 production sites, Webasto is globally well represented. (https://www.webasto-group.com/en/the-company/locations-worldwide/)
While Webasto always had standard processes, documented, and referenced in day-to-day activities in N5, the software soon became outdated, and with it, all the information was growing in an unstructured way, and all the processes were documented as flowcharts and not in the modern BPMN Language.
With the rising need of standardization and optimization, Webasto recognised a need to become a process-oriented company.
