Resumo(s)

In this paper, we establish a compared, statistical analysis of some morphological attributes related to Lusitana 3, between its production regions, Sado and Tagus, both placed on the western shore of the roman province of Lusitania. This analysis was based on the re-examination of the published, non-quantified data, related to Abul and Pinheiro, and mainly on the quantified analysis of the data sets from Porto dos Cacos and Zambujalinho. The analysis of published, complete profiles, regarding both consumption centres and fluvial areas, allows the proposal of three volumetric modules: small, middle and big-sized one. The comparative, regional analysis of rim profiles has allowed setting up three variants: triangular rim, very well represented in Tagus; curved rim, over-represented in Sado; and intermediary rim, always secondary. With regard to handles, this research points to exclusive morphologies: single, longitudinal groove in Tagus and double, longitudinal groove in Sado.
