Frequentei a licenciatura em Engenharia da Energia e do Ambiente (1995 - 2000) no ISLA – Instituto Superior de Leiria, tendo obtido conhecimentos nas diversas áreas do curso. Du-rante o percurso académico e no sentido de adquirir mais conhecimentos práticos, durante as férias de verão frequentei diversos estágios. Destaco no 3.º ano da Licenciatura, o período que estagiei na firma SOFAL, uma empresa de produção de loiça decorativa em Ataija de Cima, obtendo conhecimento do funcionamento dos sistemas de produção e do tratamento de resí-duos e águas. No 4º ano estagiei nos Serviços Municipalizados de Leiria, na área de tratamento de águas e águas residuais, tendo a oportunidade de conhecer o funcionamento e a gestão de ETA´s e ETAR´s, tendo participado no arranque da ETAR de Olhalvas, e onde ganhei o gosto por esta área.
Como estágio final do curso, optei por estagiar na Câmara Municipal da Nazaré, minha terra natal, onde procurei ajudar na melhoria do ambiente e onde permaneço até à atualidade.
Como o conhecimento não ocupa lugar, participei em diversas conferências e workshops, procurando obter mais conhecimentos e melhorar as minhas capacidades.
O início do percurso profissional focou-se no tratamento de águas residuais, tendo sido responsável pelo arranque da ETAR da Nazaré. E, por forma a adquirir e aprofundar conhe-cimentos nesta área, ingressei em 2005-2006 no curso de Pós-graduação em Engenharia Sani-tária, na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT NOVA).
No final de 2013, com a mudança de executivo no Município da Nazaré, foi-me lançado o desafio de deixar o tratamento de águas residuais e a gestão do sistema de recolha de resí-duos e dedicar-me à gestão do Gabinete de Ambiente e de todas as áreas que o mesmo abrange.
I attended the degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering (1995-2000) at ISLA - Instituto Superior de Leiria, having obtained knowledge in several areas of the course. During the academic course and in order to acquire more practical knowledge, I attended several in-ternships during the summer holidays. In the 3rd year of the degree, I highlight the period that I did an internship in SOFAL, a company that produces decorative tableware in Ataija de Cima, obtaining knowledge of the functioning of the production systems and the treatment of waste and water. In the 4th year I did an internship in the Municipalized Services of Leiria, in the water and wastewater treatment area, having the opportunity to know the operation and management of ETA's and ETAR's, having participated in the start-up of the Olhalvas ETAR, and where I gained taste for this area. As a final stage of the course, I opted for a traineeship in the City Hall of Nazaré, my hometown, where I tried to help in the improvement of the environment and where I remain until nowadays. As knowledge does not occupy space, I participated in several conferences and work-shops, seeking to obtain more knowledge and improve my skills. The beginning of my professional career focused on wastewater treatment, being re-sponsible for the start-up of the Wastewater Treatment Plant of Nazaré. And, in order to ac-quire and deepen my knowledge in this area, I joined, in 2005-2006, the Postgraduate Course in Sanitary Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon (FCT NOVA). At the end of 2013, with the change of executive in the Municipality of Nazaré, I was challenged to leave the wastewater treatment and the management of the waste collection sys-tem and dedicate myself to the management of the Environment Office and all the areas that it covers.
