Resumo(s)
This thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of the Academic Bonuses Accrual in one of Russia’s top universities. Several approaches have been suggested and developed to enhance process efficiency. One of them is business process management which encompasses a combination of qualitative and simulation analysis. The qualitative analysis involves the thorough documentation and understanding of process activities, stakeholders, inputs, outputs, and rules. This analysis provides a solid foundation for further investigation. Building upon the qualitative analysis, a simulation model is developed to simulate the process flow and evaluate key performance metrics. The simulation incorporates probabilities, processing times, resource allocation, and work schedules to represent the process dynamics accurately. The simulation results reveal valuable insights into resource utilization, process completion, time metrics, and resource waiting times. Furthermore, what-if analyses are conducted to explore hypothetical scenarios and their potential impact on process outcomes. These analyses allow decision-makers to identify areas for optimization, allocate resources effectively, and streamline the process flow to enhance overall efficiency. This thesis serves as a valuable reference for process improvement and decision-making in the context of the Academic Bonuses Accrual process within a university setting.
