Resumo(s)
The main goal of gamification and game design elements in a non-gaming context is to increase user
engagement and motivation for a certain activity. Gamification is an approach with the goal of
changing the behavior of involved customers by making tasks and daily activities more enjoyable. The
current usage of gamification in different industries is still in its early stages. Although its usage is
increasing substantially, the perceived outcomes in many cases do not match the actual ones. Many
gamification projects fail due to a lack of knowledge, namely in requirements or important factors to
consider from the beginning. Therefore, it is important to understand the reasons and differences
behind successful gamification projects and those that fell short of their goals. This master’s thesis
focuses on reviewing and analyzing literature based on gamification, game design elements, and
different gamification frameworks, as well as gamification cases. The goal of this research is to propose
a conceptual framework for implementing gamification and methods in gamification projects that
would help increase their success
