In this thesis entitled Terminological variation in texts produced by the Angolan customs. Proposal of an electronic terminology resource for business logistics management, based on corpora analysis, we intend to demonstrate the impact that the phenomenon of variation in specialist texts can have on the terminology of the domain, as well as on the daily activities of the sector. Our attention is focused on the study of variation theory (from the variation theoretical approaches proposed by Faulstich 2001, Freixa 2002 and Daille 2017), assuming that variation is not uncommon in the specialized language, because it is part of the language, which is heterogeneous, and it is the result of the different uses that the professional community, in its social, linguistic and geographical diversity, makes of the term. Therefore, the work was developed, taking into account four main topics: a) The delimitation of the domain: where we proceeded to introduce the domain, as well as the explanation of how the processes of importation and exportation of goods are developed in Angola; b) Theoretical approaches: where we focus on Terminology and its double dimension, followed by the theoretical approaches of variation in Terminology; c) Data processing and analysis: in which we explain the organization and characterization of the corpus, the analysis of data using semi-automatic text processing tools, culminating with the presentation and classification of cases of terminological variation identified in the corpus; d) Terminological resource proposal: in which we present the customs terminological glossary, a resource compiled based on the analyzed corpus, and the electronic application for business logistics management, the ImporAngola APP, in which we emphasize its main functionalities, the relationship between the proposed resource and the analysis previously carried out on the corpus, as well as the impact of this resource for the domain as a whole.
