RELATÓRIO DE ATIVIDADE PROFISSIONAL

Abstract

Na sequência do denominado Processo de Bolonha (Decreto-Lei 74/2006), estabeleceuse o regime jurídico dos graus e diplomas do Ensino Superior, que abriu caminho ao reconhecimento do grau de Mestre aos licenciados “pré-Bolonha”. Neste contexto surge a motivação para realizar o relatório da minha atividade profissional, com vista à obtenção do Grau de Mestre em Engenharia Informática por Licenciados "pré-Bolonha", nos termos do Despacho 20/2010. Sou pós-graduado em Engenharia de Aplicações Empresariais e Licenciado "pré-Bolonha" em Engenharia Informática, pelo Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Iniciei o meu percurso profissional em 1999, como analista programador, no Instituto para o Desenvolvimento Tecnológico, da Fundação Instituto Politécnico do Porto. Passando a investigador e engenheiro de software, investigador sénior e gestor de projetos até responsável pela área de inovação em engenharia de sistemas de informação geoespacial, no Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciência. Atualmente, a minha atividade profissional tem sido orientada para a gestão e desenvolvimento de projetos nacionais e internacionais de sistemas de informação geoespacial, em instituições governamentais e empresas. Durante o meu trajeto profissional, com mais de 20 anos, aprofundei e alarguei os conhecimentos adquiridos na formação acadêmica de base, tanto ao nível tecnológico como comportamental. A oportunidade de realizar muitos projetos, trabalhar em diferentes áreas e com diferentes pessoas foi enriquecedor e contribui para alargar os meus horizontes.

Following the so-called Bologna Process (Decree-Law 74/2006), the legal regime for higher education degrees and diplomas was established, which paved the way for the recognition of the Master's degree for “pre-Bologna” graduates. In this context, the motivation arises to carry out the report of my professional activity, with the purpose of obtaining the Master's Degree in Computer Engineering by "pre-Bologna" Graduates, under the terms of Order 20/2010. I have a postgraduate degree in Enterprise Applications Engineering and a "pre-Bologna" degree in Computer Engineering from the Porto School of Engineering. I started my professional career in 1999, as a programmer analyst, at the Institute for Technological Development, of Polytechnic of Porto Foundation. Moving on from researcher and software engineer, senior researcher and project manager to being responsible for the area of innovation in geospatial information systems engineering, at the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science. Currently, my professional activity has been oriented towards the management and development of national and international projects of geospatial information systems, in governmental institutions and companies. During my professional career, with more than 20 years, I deepened and broadened the knowledge acquired in the degree, both at a technological and behavioral level. The opportunity to carry out many projects, work in different areas and with different people was enriching and helped to broaden my horizons.
