Registou-se na última década um aumento significativo na procura de Portugal como destino
turístico. A intenção por parte das políticas públicas do turismo está contemplada no
plano estratégico para o setor até 2027 e as suas medidas visam promover a integração de
políticas setoriais que influenciam a atividade do turismo e que assegurem estabilidade.
O setor do Turismo é um dos que mais contribui para o desenvolvimento económico
em Portugal e a utilização de tecnologias de informação é um fator decisivo na capacidade
de potenciar esse desenvolvimento.
Esta dissertação procura contribuir para o desenvolvimento do Turismo em Portugal,
nomeadamente o turismo de passeio, quer seja a pé ou de bicicleta. Neste sentido
foi reunida informação de diversas fontes de dados portuguesas e foi desenvolvida uma
infraestrutura que disponibiliza estes dados ao utilizador facilitando o acesso a esta informação.
A integração destes dados é feita recorrendo a metodologias de integração
de dados como serviços e normas standards definidas pela organização voluntária internacional
Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). Para validar e avaliar as funcionalidades
implementadas, nomeadamente a usabilidade e experiência de utilização, foi feito um
teste de usabilidade à infraestrutura desenvolvida.
In the last decade there has been a significant increase in demand for Portugal as a tourist destination. The intention by the tourism public policies is contemplated in the strategic plan for the sector until 2027 and its measures aim to promote the integration of sectorial policies that influence the tourism activity and ensure stability. The Tourism sector is one of the contributors to the economic development in Portugal and the use of information technologies is a decisive factor to enhance this development. This dissertation seeks to contribute to the development of Tourism in Portugal, namely walking and cycling tourism. In this sense, information was gathered from various Portuguese data sources and an infrastructure was developed that makes these data available to the user, facilitating access to this information. The integration of these data is done using data integration methodologies as services and standards defined by the international organization Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). To validate and evaluate the implemented functionalities, namely the usability and user experience, a usability test was made to the developed infrastructure.
