O setor do retalho é constantemente desafiado pelos comportamentos imprevisíveis e
exigências cada vez mais customizadas dos clientes finais e atualmente a concorrência não se
faz apenas entre empresas, mas sobretudo entre Cadeias de Abastecimento. Para se adapta-
rem e terem a capacidade de acompanhar a evolução do mercado é necessário que sejam ágeis
e resilientes pelo que, cada vez mais, as empresas procuram construir relações colaborativas
com os seus fornecedores, como forma de ganhar vantagem competitiva.
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo desenvolver um plano de ação para promover a
Melhoria Contínua da Cadeia de Abastecimento da Auchan Retail Portugal, tendo por base
as recomendações e expectativas de fornecedores. Permite também fomentar a confiança e a
colaboração entre todos para satisfazer as necessidades dos clientes finais.
O trabalho inicia com um diagnóstico da estratégia atual de Gestão da Cadeia de Abas-
tecimento da empresa, através da análise do estudo anual Benchmarking Supply Chain 2020,
realizado pela GS1 Portugal, seguida de sessões de trabalho interno com colaboradores da
Auchan Retail Portugal. Posteriormente, são realizadas 12 entrevistas semiestruturadas com
fornecedores, permitindo identificar quais as principais oportunidades de melhoria na Gestão
da Cadeia de Abastecimento da Auchan Retail Portugal. A análise dos resultados obtidos
complementada por uma revisão de literatura com enfoque na Gestão Colaborativa na Cadeia
de Abastecimento, culmina na proposta de 13 medidas de melhoria contínua para os proces-
sos da Auchan Retail Portugal que se revelam mais críticos. Para cada medida é detalhada
uma metodologia de implementação, respetiva responsabilidade funcional e tempo previsto
de execução.
Do trabalho prático desenvolvido conclui-se que face aos constrangimentos atuais
existentes na empresa, ser reconhecida como líder no retalho alimentar em Portugal implica
percorrer um caminho longo e complexo. Contudo, pode ser acelerado com a implementação
das medidas propostas no plano de ação e potenciado através da colaboração com os forne-
cedores.
The retail sector is constantly challenged by unpredictable behaviors and increasingly customized demands of customers. Nowadays, competition is not only between companies, but mainly between Supply Chains. In order to be agile, resilient and adaptable to customer’s needs, companies are seeking to build collaborative relationships with suppliers, ensuring a sustainable competitive advantage. This work aims to develop an action plan to promote Auchan Retail Portugal Supply Chain Continuous Improvement, based on the recommendations and expectations of suppli- ers, enhancing trust and collaboration among all towards a common goal, satisfy customer’s needs. A diagnosis of the current strategy of Auchan Retail Portugal Supply Chain Manage- ment is made, through the analysis of Benchmarking Supply Chain 2020 annual report, ac- complish by GS1 Portugal, followed by internal work sessions with collaborators. Afterwards, interviews were carried out with 12 suppliers, allowing to identify the main opportunities for Auchan Retail Portugal Supply Chain Management. The analysis of the results complemented by a literature review focused on Collaborative Management in Supply Chains, culminates in the proposal of 13 measures for the most critical processes. For each measure an implementa- tion methodology is detailed, as well as the respective functional responsibility and predicta- ble time for its execution. Given the current constraints existing in the company, to be recognized as a leader in food retail in Portugal implies walking a long and complex path. However, it can be acceler- ated with the implementation of the measures proposed in the action plan and enhanced through collaboration with suppliers.
