The European Union (EU) defined, in parallel with the Paris Agreement, a set of goals to be achieved from 2021 to 2030. Among these, reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, increase in installed energy from renewable sources and an increase in energy efficiency. In this sense, the current energy management of Herdade São Lourenço do Barrocal based on its sustainability plan demonstrates a social and environmental concern in its activities. In contrast, hotels are among the tourist facilities with the highest consumption of en-ergy and water per capita. These inputs are responsible for a large part of operating costs and their high consumption is essential to maintain the level of comfort required by guests in lux-ury hotels. Therefore, it is essential to act as soon as possible in this hotel segment to achieve the long-term goals imposed by the European Union. That said, this work makes an energy diagnosis about the electricity consumption of Herdade São Lourenço do Barrocal, with the objective of: introducing an Electric Energy Man-agement System (SGEE) based on the requirements of the ISO 50001:2018 standard, suggest-ing measures energy efficiency and prepare a Solar Photovoltaic Installation Project for self-consumption. In addition, it was possible to: establish a framework to make continuous im-provements in energy performance, disaggregate consumption, identify Significant Uses of Energy (USE), fragment consumption by categories and sectors, identify variables that affect consumption and, finally, build a management dashboard. As a result of the energy diagnosis, it was observed that the bedrooms, houses and kitchen were the sectors with the highest consumption, representing respectively 31.54%, 13.10% and 9.12% of the total average consumption. In another analysis, it was possible to conclude that the HVAC, lighting and pumping categories represent respectively 18.53%, 17.68% and 14.04% of the total average consumption. The solar photovoltaic project devel-oped indicated as the best option a system with an installed power of 175.05 kWp, an internal rate of return of 23.31%, self-consumption of 92.63% and a 5-year payback.
