Projetos de futuro: a experiência da regeneração sintrópica em Mértola

Percorrendo a região do Alentejo desde a I República até os dias de hoje, fazemos um caminho sobre os movimentos socio-políticos e económicos que foram desenvolvidos na região. Com um enfoque em Mértola, concelho do distrito de Beja, trazemos as questões da Associação Terra Sintrópica que atua em Mértola desde 2018. A associação tem como objetivos a regeneração dos solos e território através da agricultura sintrópica e de uma visão sistémica, dando a conhecer e compreender uma tentativa de construir uma cadeia de distribuição “colaborativa”, em comunidade e que se propõe a repensar as formas de produção do sistema alimentar. Com o intuito de avançar sobre práticas alternativas de produção e educação no território, se conceptualiza sobre o projeto da Câmara Municipal de Mértola de fazer do território Laboratório para o Futuro. Pensamos sobre as formas e mecanismos que utilizam para tal, refletindo sobre suas vantagens e desvantagens, ao propor novos questionamentos para a construção deste sonhado futuro possível.
Entering the Alentejo region from the 1st Republic to the present day, we trail a path of the socio-political and economic movements that were developed in the region. Developing a focus on Mértola, a municipality in the district of Beja, we discuss the subjects of Terra Sintrópica association that has been operating in Mértola since 2018. The association aims to regenerate the soil and the territory through syntropic agriculture and a systemic vision. The objective here is to understand and make their process known, which proposes to rethink the forms of production of the food system as an attempt to build a collaborative distribution chain and an idea of community. In order to advance on alternative practices of production and education in the territory, we conceptualize the Mértola’s Municipality project to make the territory a Laboratory for the Future. In that matter we analyze the ways and mechanisms they use for this, reflecting about their advantages and disadvantages, by proposing new questions for the construction of this dreamed possible future.
