This study focuses on the behavioral effect of the fresh start mindset towards sustainable packaging options. The objective of this research was to provide an empirical study to explain the impact of fresh start mindset on perceptions and moral satisfaction towards products with sustainable packaging, as well as if it has an effect on consumers intention to purchase the product. A conceptual model has been proposed and subjected to empirical verification thought an online questionnaire that counted with 339 respondents. Results were analysed though the PLS-SEM technique and suggests fresh start mindset contributes to the inference making and moral satisfaction of products with paper-based packaging. The current paper ends with a discussion of the study’s limitations and implications for companies as a whole and, specially, for marketers.
