The constant search for low energy consumption and high-speed systems makes the development of analog, digital and mixed-mode circuits of paramount importance for the technological advancement. In this way, a comparator performs as an interface between analog and digital circuits. In the present dissertation, a current comparator based on a high-speed regulated current mirror and offset reduction techniques is presented and designed targeting a 130 nm standard CMOS technology and operating with a 1.2 V power supply voltage. As such, a power consumption of 394.7 µW was obtained and the circuit proved to be robust against PVT variations.
