A revisão de textos e a construção de representações linguístico-textuais

Abstract

The present article focuses on the activity of text revision, more specifically in the field of technical translation, assuming that, as a practice of reading and writing, it also involves several representation operations. This implies the establishment of relations between representative and represented elements in a concrete context of activity, whose singularities ultimately condition text production. Based on the theoretical principles concerning the sociodiscursive interactionism (SDI) framework postulated by Bronckart (1999), the article intends to show that revision not only is a dialogical practice between text producers, texts and working tools (e.g. translation softwares), but also constitutes a process of mediating meaning (cf. Bronckart, 2004). Examples selected from texts produced in concrete situations (i.e. empirical representatives of the social activities themselves) will make it possible to acknowledge that text revision should be considered in a comprehensive and integrated perspective.
