O foco desta investigação, é avaliar o impacto do custo da eletricidade no orçamento municipal e a sus-tentabilidade ambiental municipal. Os municípios enquanto principais motores na governação de proximidade, são confrontados atual-mente com um conjunto de desafios. É da responsabilidade destes fomentar abordagens ao desenvol-vimento sustentável local. Exemplo de um tipo de abordagem, é a produção de eletricidade ao nível municipal, através de Fonte(s) de Energia Renovável (FER), em particular a energia solar fotovoltaica, para o autoconsumo local, possibilitando a redução da fatura energética do município de forma eficien-te e, também descentralizar parte dessa produção em benefício da comunidade local. Na investigação levada a cabo, foi possível inventariar ao detalhe os dados anuais do consumo de ele-tricidade de todos os Códigos de Ponto de Entrega (CPE) do Município do Cartaxo, referentes às infra-estruturas públicas e iluminação pública. Estão criadas condições para se proceder à avaliação da via-bilidade de produção de eletricidade por via de FER, em particular, com recurso à geração de energia solar fotovoltaica, a implementar em solo municipal, bem como, a conceção de uma Comunidade de Energia Renovável (CER).
The focus of this investigation is to assess the impact of the cost of electricity in the municipal budget as well as the municipal environment sustainability. As the main drivers of local government, municipalities are presently confronted with a range of chal-lenges. They are responsible for enhancing various approaches concerning local sustainable develop-ment. For example, the production of local electricity through renewable energy sources for local use, in particular photovoltaic solar energy, makes it possible to reduce the municipality's energy costs in an efficient way. The use of renewable energy sources also allows to decentralize part of this production to the benefit of local community. In this investigation, it was possible to inventory in detail the annual data of electricity consumption in the municipality of Cartaxo. This data concerns public infrastructures and public lighting. Thanks to this work conditions are created to proceed with the evaluation of the viability of electricity production by means of renewable energy sources, in particular using photovoltaic solar energy, to be implemented in county soil, as well as the design of a renewable energy community.
