Resumo(s)
From Theoretical ideas and methodological paths developed by Edward W. Said in Culture and Imperialism (1993, this essay recovers the theme of the poor and the rich in El Quijote (1615). Studies of both Political and Social History and Cultural and Literary History are presented that inform us about the contemporary age of Cervantes attempting to achieve, here, a reading made from the point of view of the contemporary Reader, in these times of the 21st century (Juan Goytisolo 2015), by analizing some episodes and passages within the text.
