The present work analyzes, through a theoretical investigation and the realization of a virtual memory archive, the “narratives of meaning and meaningless”5 or the discursive and symbolic practices that relatives of the victims known as “false positives”6 develop in Colombia– considered in this way by Colombian legislation, victims' groups and human rights associations –as a search for a cure, memory, “justice, truth, reparation and promise of non-repetition”. These are fundamental aspects that the relatives of the victims and human rights defenders consider necessary for a comprehensive reparation process and a lasting peace process. Evidence of the actions of the relatives of the victims that serve as symbolic reparations (public and private), especially those of the mothers and wives of the murdered and disappeared youth, can contribute to an understanding of the processes of trauma and cure for which they go through. And in a general way, to the analysis of the consequences that the ignorance and indifference of civil society on these processes brings to the country.
