This study intends to understand, on the one hand, the different motivations for initiation and maintenance of a new lifestyle associated to transnational digital work and on the other hand, a search for understanding about the tenuous border between work and leisure. In this globalized world, where work can be done anywhere in the world using technology and at a time when it is easier to develop and maintain multiple family, economic, social, organizational, religious or political relationships beyond borders, the propensity to break conventions and the feasibility of working in transit when the tools to do it are mobile, becomes quite attractive. This led to the emergence of new location independent "communities" that apparently move by choice. These are not forced migrations due to political problems, natural disasters or search of a better future but correlated to the possibility of integrating a new lifestyle not attached to a single location. In this new culture of remote work in which there is no permanent residence, but a constant displacement, the motivations for the adoption of this nomadism can vary. Could be a greater balance between employment and leisure, the will to live a less conventional lifestyle, the impulse to acquire new cultural capital or to generate some impact in the places of temporary stay.
