| dc.description.abstract | O castelo de Alcácer do Sal, hoje bastante modificado pela edificação da pousada, constitui o resultado de diferentes etapas de construção e reformulação decorridas ao longo das Idades Média e Moderna, desde a edificação do palácio fortificado no século IX, passando pela sua adaptação aos Paços da Ordem de Santiago no século XIII e, posteriormente, no século XVI, com a implantação de um convento. Pretende-se, deste modo, através da análise dos paramentos construtivos, vestígios arqueológicos e fontes escritas, dar a conhecer as distintas transformações ocorridas na fortificação desde a ocupação muçulmana à instalação dos freires da Ordem de Santiago. The castle of Alcácer do Sal, today much modified by the building of the inn, is the result of different stages of construction and reformulation throughout the Middle and Modern Ages, from the building of the fortified palace in the 9th century, through its adaptation to the Paços of the Order of Santiago in the 13th century and, later, in the 16th century, with the establishment of a convent. In this way, through the analysis of the constructive facades, archaeological remains and written sources, it is intended to make known the different transformations that have occurred in the fortification since the Muslim occupation to the installation of the friars of the Order of Santiago. | en |
