Um número significativo de startups não conseguem sobreviver no mercado devido a diversos fatores, como a escassez de financiamento, uma gestão ineficaz, uma fraca adequação
entre o produto e o mercado e a inexistência de uma abordagem estruturada à inovação.
Em contextos de elevada incerteza, como nas fases iniciais da vida das startups, a criativi-
dade, a inovação e ferramentas de IA poderão ser recursos essenciais para enfrentar desafios
complexos e imprevisíveis.
Foi realizada uma análise comparativa das principais metodologias criativas e das ferramentas de IA, identificando as suas possíveis aplicações e vantagens no contexto empreendedor. Foram também identificadas limitações do modelo tradicional de desenvolvimento de produtos/serviços que frequentemente conduzem ao insucesso das startups.
O presente estudo visou reduzir o elevado risco de insucesso de startups, através do desenvolvimento de um modelo que apoie a inovação em todas as etapas do processo de criação
de produtos e serviços. O modelo em questão baseia-se na utilização articulada e integrada de
metodologias criativas (brainstorming, TRIZ, lateral thinking), metodologias de gestão (SWOT,
PESTEL, BMC, Personas, entre outras) e inteligência de IA (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, AutoTRIZ,
entre outras). Está estruturado de forma circular, o modelo acompanha as equipas desde a fase
de ideação até ao lançamento do produto/serviço e a sua melhoria contínua.
Foi realizado um estudo de caso baseado na aplicação do modelo proposto a uma startup
que não sobreviveu no mercado. O estudo de caso revelou que o modelo proposto poderá efetivamente introduzir a inovação, criatividade e IA em todas as fases do desenvolvimento do produto/serviço, reduzindo significativamente o risco de insucesso.
A inovação deve ser entendida como um processo contínuo, que não se restringe ao momento inicial de geração de ideias. Só assim as startups poderão superar as falhas recorrentes,
adaptar-se às necessidades do mercado e aumentar a probabilidade de alcançar um crescimento sólido e sustentável a longo prazo.
A significant number of startups are unable to survive in the market due to various factors, such as limited funding, ineffective management, a poor fit between product and market, and an absence of a structured approach to innovation. In contexts of high uncertainty, such as during the early stages of startup development, creativity, innovation and artificial intelligence tools can be invaluable resources for overcoming complex and unpredictable challenges. A comparative analysis of the main creative methodologies and AI tools was conducted to identify their potential applications and advantages in an entrepreneurial context. The limitations of the traditional product/service development model were also identified, as these often lead to startup failure. This study aimed to mitigate the high risk of startup failure by developing a model to support innovation throughout the product and service creation process. This model is based on the integrated use of creative (brainstorming, TRIZ, lateral thinking) and management (SWOT, PESTEL, BMC, Personas) methodologies, as well as artificial intelligence tools ( ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, AutoTRIZ). The model is structured in a circular manner to guide teams from ideation to product/service launch and continuous improvement. A case study based on the application of the proposed model to a startup that failed in the market was conducted. This revealed that the model could effectively embed innovation, creativity and AI into all stages of product and service development, significantly reducing the risk of failure. Innovation must be understood as a continuous process, not limited to the initial idea generation stage. Only by adopting this approach will startups be able to overcome recurring short-comings, adapt to market needs and increase their probability of achieving solid, sustainable long-term growth.
