Resumo(s)
A presente dissertação aborda a temática da Transformação Digital, mais concretamente
as metodologias de implementação de Digitalização de Processos em empresas do setor fi-
nanceiro.
Atualmente, devido à elevada competitividade nos mercados, as empresas encontram-
se sob elevada pressão para se transformarem digitalmente. Tal transformação não se relaci-
ona apenas com a ambição de crescimento sustentável e melhoria do desempenho da orga-
nização, mas também com a própria sobrevivência da empresa. Contudo, esta profunda trans-
formação está longe de ser um processo estável e simples de implementar com sucesso. Ve-
rifica-se, portanto, a necessidade de expandir o conhecimento científico ainda escasso, relativo
às metodologias de implementação de Transformação Digital.
A presente dissertação apresenta um modelo de Digitalização de Processos, que é um
dos blocos centrais da Transformação Digital de qualquer organização. Este modelo é baseado
na Reengenharia de Processos, consistindo na melhoria abrupta dos processos, conjugada
com a implementação de tecnologias digitais, como a robótica. Com a transformação sugerida
no modelo espera-se que as empresas obtenham uma elevada melhoria do desempenho e da
eficiência operacional.
A metodologia proposta compreende uma sequência circular de fases de atuação, des-
critas em detalhe, com o objetivo de tornar o processo de Digitalização de Processos mais
claro e estruturado, de forma a auxiliar os gestores e os intervenientes na mudança a guiar a
Transformação Digital de negócios com sucesso.
Por fim, a metodologia foi testada num contexto real como um Estudo de Caso, num
projeto de uma empresa da área dos seguros, com o intuito de analisar as diferentes dimen-
sões propostas na metodologia desenvolvida.
This dissertation addresses the theme of Digital Transformation, more specifically the methodologies of implementation of Process Digitalization in companies of the financial sec- tor. Currently, due to the high competitiveness in the markets, companies are under high pressure to transform themselves digitally. Such transformation is not only related to the am- bition of sustainable growth and improved performance of the organization, but also to the very survival of the company. However, this profound transformation is far from being a stable and simple process to implement successfully. Therefore, there is a need to expand the still scarce scientific knowledge concerning Digital Transformation implementation methodolo- gies. This dissertation presents a Process Digitization model, which is one of the central blocks of Digital Transformation in any organization. This model is based on Process Reengineering, consisting in the abrupt improvement of processes combined with the implementation of dig- ital technologies, such as robotics. With the transformation suggested in the model it is ex- pected that companies will achieve a high improvement in performance and operational effi- ciency. The proposed methodology comprises a circular sequence of action phases, described in detail, with the objective of making the Process Digitization process clearer and more struc- tured, in order to help managers and change agents to successfully guide the Digital Business Transformation. Finally, the methodology was tested in a real context as a Case Study, in a project of an insurance company, in order to analyze the different dimensions proposed in the developed methodology.
